Palm Reading – Heart Line (Love Line)
Location and Meaning
The heart line (also called love line) is one of the three major lines in palm reading. It's just above the head line starting from the edge of the palm under the little finger, running across the palm and ending below the middle finger or forefinger or the place where they join.
The heart line usually shows a person's attitude to love and quality of love. Whether you have a deep affection or not, your emotion is complicated or simple, if your love and marriage life go smoothly and whether you could have a good personal relationship can all be reflected from the line.
What's a Good Heart Line
In general, if your heart line is deep, clear, curved, unbroken, not mixed or disorderly and extends to the forefinger or between the forefinger and middle finger, you have a good love life and emotion. If there are two or three forks at the end, it’s much better. It shows you are responsible, good - hearted, friendship weight and popular among friends.

Short
If your heart line is short (only extends to the middle finger) or absent, it shows you are self-centered, ruthless, narrow-minded and like to act arbitrarily without thinking about the consequences. Thus, you are easy to be ostracized by the people around and become lonely. For your love life, it’s also not smooth. (Fig 1)
Very Long
If your heart line is very long which extends to the edge of the palm from both side (as in the picture shows), it indicates you are too straightforward, would rather break than bend. In career, you could get success although you undergo a lot of hardships. Only if your career line is clear without broken, you are fit to engage in speculation. In love aspect, the man is usually romantic and henpecked. The women are mostly faithful to their love. However, you usually have some major upheavals during the life. Once split up with boy/girl friend, or marriage breaks down, you will get hurt seriously. (Fig 2)

As the picture shows, if your heart line extends to the Mount of Jupiter which is located below the forefinger. It indicates abundance of love, great dreams and high expectations. (Fig 3)
Ending Between the Mount of Jupiter and Saturn
If your heart line ends below where the Mount of Jupiter (below the forefinger) joins the Mount of Saturn (below the middle finger), it indicates the purely true love. (Fig 4)

● If your heart line curves upwards, it indicates you have a great verbal dexterity. When meeting your favorite object, you are good at creating romantic atmosphere and speaking out your love to him/her; (Fig 5)
● Owning a downward curved line, it indicates a negative and weak character. You usually give others an uneasy feeling because you don't dare to chase and express your love feelings. So, there are twists and turns with your love relationship or marriage life. (Fig 6)
Straight
A straight heart line shows you are stable, conservative, mild, extremely affable and approachable. In love, you are usually shy and play a passive role in the relationship. If the line is clear, moderate in length and without donut of break, you could have a stable and harmonious family. (Fig 7)

Age on Heart Line
Draw vertical lines from the center of the base of each finger (except the thumb) to the heart line and get the ages at the intersection points as the image shows.The intersection point of the fate line and heart line indicates the age of 55.
Please note the ages on the heart line don’t indicate accurate ages. They are approximate ones.

Branches and Forks

● Trident at the end of the line indicates universal fraternity. But in love life, you are usually hard. (Fig 9)
● If there are many branches at the end, its shows you are constant in love at the same time could get real love. (Fig 10)
● Many upward splits on the line are good signs for love life (Fig 11). In opposite, if there are many downward splits, your marriage is easy to break up. (Fig 12)
● Two or three upward branches near the beginning of the line shows abundance of love and great charm to opposite sex. (Fig 13)
● If the line is double forked at the beginning of the heart line, it indicates disputes on marriage. (Fig 14)

Island
Islands on the line indicate emotional distress or changes.
During your life, there are some base persons blocking you. In addition to your stubborn character, it’s hard to get great achievement and love life is easy to break down.
If the island appears under the ring finger, it signifies problems with eyes such as short sightedness or weak sight.

● If the line has a large gap, it indicates extreme hardship in relationship and instability or break down for the marriage. (Fig 15)
● If the line is broken under the little finger, it shows too much stress on money and material life. In life, you usually are hard to have true love because of this belief. ● If the line is broken under the place where the ring finger and little finger joins and ends below the place where the forefinger and middle finger joins, for female, it indicates a failed marriage in life. ● If the two separated parts are in a line, you are easy to suffer from disease because of the poor circulation of blood. If your hand is fat, you should pay much more about your blood circulation. You are suggested to do more aerobic exercise to boost circulation. (Fig 19)
● If the line goes intermittently, it shows you are capricious, a bit neurotic and impulsive. You are hard to enjoy a happy love life. (Fig 20)

→ Simian Line (Heart Line Meets Head Line)
● Another situation is that the heart line and head line has two points after intersection. This is called a false broken palm. If you own such lines, your relationship usually has a lot of ups and downs. During your middle age, marriage is easy to break down. (Fig 22)
Chained
If your love line has a shape of iron chain, it shows you are sentimental.Once there are a lot of chains, you would have a lot of emotional entanglements. Especially during your middle age, you may suffer marriage crises.

●A square on the line indicates emotional depression and pains. Sometimes, you may have suicidal idea at the same time have a great fear of death. (Fig 25)
Doubled
It shows you are good at expressing love and are initiative in love if you have doubled love lines.
However, it also shows you could accept two relationships at the same time. You are usually talented, pretty or handsome, attracting the opposite sex greatly.

● If such creases only appear above the line, it shows you are witty, responsive and full of resource in any emergency. (Fig 27)
Short Lines Cutting the Heart Line
If you find there are many short lines cutting the heart line, it’s not a good sign.
It indicates pains, unhappiness and failure of love life. The career is hard to progress because of the interference of some base persons. Especially after your middle age, you would lead a hard life. In addition, you are easy to suffer from hypertension or diabetes in the old age.
Crossed
If there is a cross on the heart line, it means your career, study and life are usually tied down by your love. Your love partner may have a tendency to die because of you.

Boy : On my left hand, I have only one deep marriage line that slightly curves down towards the heart line(the start of the line is a bit short but straight and the end curves down slightly, seems a bit long and slight curve) in the middle between little finger and heart line. On my right hand, I have only one deep marriage line that is a little above the middle of the point between little finger and heart line. That marriage line comes out straight but health line is connected to it in its middle. So it seems like ending in a fork that the upper branch of the fork is straight and the lower branch is the curved health line. Girl : I have one marriage line on my left hand that is straight but a small fragrant overlaps right above it. The line is in the middle between little finger and heart line. On my right hand, there are three marriage lines, one near the heart line that is short. In the middle between little finger and heart line, there is a long marriage line, quite deep, that forks in its middle(but a little faint in that forking area) and the upper branch of the fork goes straight and deep again and the end of that upper branch seems to fork again or forming an incomplete island that doesn’t touch in all ends like an oval or circle. And the uppermost marriage line is near the base of little finger and it’s deep, and it’s parallel to the middle marriage line. Seems to have the same length as middle line or maybe only slightly shorter than the upper branch(that goes straight quite long) of the fork of the middle line. The uppermost line is quite deep throughout its whole length and straight but near its end, it gives off a fade branch that inclines 45degrees upwards. Between the middle and uppermost line, there’s a fade line(more like a fade fragrament like the fragrament in my left hand). All the marriage lines in my right hand are interconnected with one another via loops between the lines or via upward branches of the lower lines that touches the lower branches of the upper lines.
