laundry room in the south west

Im thinking of placing my laundry room in the south west of my house. I am still deciding whether to place an exit door in the south west corner or a washing machine?which is ideal? My laundry room door will be facing my east kitchen.. should i treat my laundry room as a toilet room, where i have to a curtain and close the door?Thank you

Thank you for your response. I need to put an exit door in my laundry room to my backyard, but cant decide if i should place it at the south west corner of the room or place a washing machine at the corner instead. Greatly appreciate your reply..
It's ideal to place a washing machine in the south west of your house. Don't treat your laundry room as a toilet room.
