Auspicious Days for Housewarming Party??

To whom this may concern,
Previously, I had chosen a good (auspicious) day for moving house through the calender of your website. It is helpful, thanks!
Now, I am planning to throw a housewarming party after moving to a new home.
Is it necessary to choose a good (auspicious) day too for housewarming party event?
I am quite confused whether there are chinese customs that must obey for or during the housewarming party?
Have a nice day..

After you put the room in order, you can choose any date that doesn't clash your zodiac sign to hold the housewarming party. It's better to hold during the weekend for the convenience of your friends.
In China, people usually invite friends to have a big lunch or dinner to celebrate the moving to the new house. Some cook at home by themselves and some would like to eat in a restaurant. Wine is the necessary drink to celebrate. As long as you entertain your guests well and they are all happy, that's ok.
