staircase facing the front door at the middle of the house about 1 meter apart

Our staircase faces the front door just about 1 meter apart from each other. it has only 3 steps. The staircase is also found in the middle of the house. what feng shui cure could i apply?
If you could change the direction of staircase and make it not face the door that's better. You can only have a screen between the front door and staircase.
There is no good cure for front door at the middle of the house.
