Perpendicular mirror beside altar

Hi Janet, is it advisable to install a tinted mirror perpendicular to the altar which is facing my main door to make the foyer looks spacious? The distance of my altar to the main door is only 6ft, which I understand should be longer (13ft) for good qi.
