Dreamed of my Ex being beat to death

I dreamt that a man who I recognise as I've met him a few times.he's a friend of a friend.
My ex had a metal bar going to chase him out my house but he got the bar and beat my ex over the head and killed him. I saw dark red lumpy blood seeping out from under the bathroom door where my ex lay inside the bathroom. I didn't look at him. Rest of dream was me upset and my neighbours looking for the man, and a friend caught and beat him up, not sure if he died.
