Remedy element
Asked by y***a |
The Bazi says: "Your Five Elements (Wu Xing) have too many Fire . Your Day Master is Wood and it needs to be supported by Fire element. Also, you should avoid to have more Earth.".
Metal, Water, Earth are weak.
I am born on Dec 6, 1990 - weak BaZi overall, Yin Wood Day Master.
So is Fire a remedy element for me, or should I avoid it?

Based on your BaZi chart and the analysis you’ve shared, the situation is more nuanced than a simple “Fire is good” or “Fire is bad.”
Let’s break it down logically:
1. Key Facts From Your Summary
DOB: Dec 6, 1990 — likely Xin Hai month (Metal-Water), approaching winter.
Day Master: Yin Wood (likely Jia Wood or Yi Wood) — born in winter, water is strong (birth month Hai is water), so Wood is probably damp and cold.
Element Analysis Given:
Too much Fire in the chart already.
Day Master Wood needs Fire to warm and grow (because winter Wood needs sunlight/warmth).
Weak Metal, Water, Earth (but note: Water is actually strong in winter season, so “weak” may refer to presence in pillars, not season).
Avoid more Earth (Earth likely weak in structure, and Fire produces Earth, which may drain Fire’s warmth away from Wood indirectly, or Earth may interfere with Water).
2. Why Fire Might Still Be a “Remedy” Even If “Too Much Fire” Exists
In BaZi, the term “too much” may refer to the existing clash or imbalance from a certain element but not necessarily that the element is bad for the Day Master.
Winter Wood (Jia/Yi) — needs Fire (sun/heat) to thrive. This is a tuning element for climate adjustment.
Even if there is “too much” Fire already, if the Fire is not overwhelming Wood directly (since Wood produces Fire, it’s a natural drain), it could be that the Fire is useful but needs to be balanced so that it doesn’t burn out Wood’s roots.
The advice “avoid more Earth” — why? Because Fire produces Earth; adding Earth may further drain Fire away from warming Wood and into producing an unwanted element (Earth).
Weak Metal, Water, Earth ? means adding Water (which is already seasonally strong but structurally weak) might increase coldness, so Fire is still needed to warm.
So Fire is likely a remedy element in terms of function, but you must be careful about its form and amount, since too much could weaken Wood further (Wood feeds Fire ? consumption of self).
3. Potential Contradiction in Interpretation
Sometimes, “too many Fire” is stated in modern BaZi software based on counting elements in the 4 pillars without considering seasonal needs.
For winter Wood, even with 2 or 3 Fire elements, it may still be necessary and beneficial as long as there’s Water to nourish Wood’s roots (Hai month provides that).
So the advice “needs to be supported by Fire” probably means Fire is a favorable element, but avoid making the Earth element stronger (since Earth comes with extra Fire and may harm Water or imbalance chart further).
4. Is Fire a Remedy Element for You?
Yes, Fire is likely a remedy — specifically Ding Fire (lamp fire) rather than Bing Fire (sun fire) could be gentler for Yin Wood (Yi Wood) if you are Yi Wood.
But because “too many Fire” is mentioned, you’d focus on strengthening Wood and Water first, then allow existing Fire to warm, rather than aggressively adding more Fire in lifestyle/direction/color choices.
5. Practical Summary
Favorable elements: Fire (in moderate, warming amounts) and Water (to nourish, but careful not to over-cool).
Use with caution: Earth (weak Earth may turn to muddy Earth with Fire, not helpful).
Fire’s role: It helps you utilize your talent (Wood’s growth), bring warmth, fame, and energy (Fire is output for Wood), so in career/activities, some Fire is good.
To confirm this, you would need the exact hour and gender to see the overall balance of power in your chart. But based on the given logic, Fire is a remedy, but too much of it already means you don’t need to force more — just protect and nourish Wood (with a little Water) so that the existing Fire serves you well.
