Approval for migration to Canada or USA

I applied in Sept 2013 for Canada as an immigrant. Most of my batchmates got an approval notice last year Sept 2015 except me and my family. Until now, no news. Is there a way to find out if it will be approve or not? The last time i called, still on process. Will I be able to go abroad in 2017? What are the lucky charm to use for faster luck
