What does Evil West mean in this context?

Will be scheduling ground breaking in our new home. I just want to clarify the context of Evil West.
Our previous location is in the south of our future home, so we will be moving north, so does this mean that it is auspicious? Or is Evil West referred to in this context, that the main entrance of the house (although not yet built as it is still for groundbreaking) is planed to be placed in the west of the future house therefore not auspicious?
Please enlighten.

Evil West means you should not do important things in the west direction. For example, if your previous location is in the north of our future home, so you will be moving west, so does that means it is inauspicious.
