Investment Opportunity

I'm currently working in construction industry firm and working as IT Business Analyst and Software Developer. I'm also the head of department in company. I have good relationship with my superior which is the son of company owner. I decided to invest in Stock Market and current good. Now, my concern is I am planning stop working and focus on stock market trading and freelancing, is it better on 2017?
