A team of researchers from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) U.S. has prepared several studies that showed that the blood of the mother has enough information to determine the sex of the fetus from the seventh week of pregnancy. The blood test is to analyze DNA fragments of the plasma cell from the fetus. The service is available in many countries, including the UK. But it requires mother having no big surgery including miscarriage, blood transfusion etc. within the latest 6 months and doesn't deliver baby boy within the recent year.
Many people in China mainland mail their blood sample to Hong Kong to test blood to predict baby gender.
