What is the time zone of the Chinese Calendar posted here?

|

The Chinese Calendar has a year, months, days and hours.

I'm wondering what time zone is the day, especially the time (the hours). I'm based in the US and has eastern (EST) or New York time zone.

The Chinese calendar (also known as the Agricultural Calendar or Lunar Calendar) does not operate on a single global time zone like the Gregorian calendar. Instead, it follows these timekeeping principles:

Based on Beijing Time (UTC+8)
The official time reference for calculating dates in the Chinese calendar is China Standard Time (CST, UTC+8), regardless of where you are in the world.

This means:

New Moon (which marks the start of a lunar month) is determined astronomically based on Beijing time.

Solar Terms (like the Spring Equinox or Winter Solstice) are also calculated using UTC+8.
