What event is considered as a moving date?

I am planning to go to a settlement on the new home on March 9th but I want to get the house painted before I move the furniture in. If I go to the house after the settlement on the 9th and bring some items with me and have dinner there but not sleeping there yet...would it consider as moving day?

The moving day refers to you settle down and sleep in the house. So, it won't be considered a moving day if you don't sleep there.
